My Journey To Clarity
My journey into autism support began first as a mother.
When my son was about 18 months old, I began to notice behaviors that concerned me, and soon after, he lost his speech. Like many parents, I was faced with questions, uncertainty, and the urgent need to understand what was happening. That experience led me to seek further assessment and intervention in the United Kingdom — and it changed the course of my life.
What began as a personal search for answers became a professional calling. I went on to earn a Master’s degree in Special and Inclusive Education from the University College London Institute of Education, alongside further training in Specific Learning Difficulties (Dyslexia). Today, with over 30 years of experience in education across Nigeria and the UK, I support children, parents, caregivers, and schools through autism assessments, intervention guidance, parent coaching, and specialist training.
I am a registered Special Needs Practitioner, accredited by Pearson Clinical Assessment and Intervention in the UK, and a Certified Autism Specialist (CAS). But beyond my qualifications, what shapes my work most is the fact that I understand this journey both professionally and personally.
